Applications are open for MTI’s Prime Fund
Deadline to apply is May 24, 2022
Multiple Zoom workshops will be held in the coming days/weeks to help potential applicants determine eligibility and apply. See below.
MTI has established the Pandemic Recovery for an Innovative Maine Economy (PRIME) Fund to distribute $39M in federal funding approved through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). This initiative provides grant funding to help Maine businesses recover from the harm caused by the COVID-19 pandemic via business development and innovation in our state’s technology sectors.
MTI wants to make PRIME Funding available to all eligible small businesses in every corner of Maine including traditionally underrepresented, rural and BIPOC founders.
Businesses must be a tech-specific company, tech-enabled, or provide a tech-solution. This ranges anywhere from traditional technology companies such as Saas to restaurants looking to enable online ordering to agriculture and forestry companies.
Businesses must fit within MTI’s 7 tech-sectors. We encourage business owners to attend a workshop even if they aren’t sure they fit.
Please share this information with any businesses that meet the following qualifications:
1. In operation before October 1, 2021
2. Negatively effected by the pandemic
